CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
TO PRE-PRIMARY: ACADEMIC SESSION 2015-16
(General Category)
Admission
of children to General Category seats of Pre-Primary Class of this School will
be made on the basis of points secured by them on 100 points scale as detailed
below, subject to their completing the age of 4 years on 31/03/2015:
(i)
Residence Location – 30 Points maximum
Every child will be awarded between 0 to
30 points depending on the distance of his/her residence from the School as per
the following distance-wise categories:

(ii)
First Child/Sibling – 20 Points
If the child for whom the admission is
being sought is the first ever child of the parent(s), he/she shall be awarded
20 points. An attested affidavit on a non judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- to
this effect will have to be submitted by the parents.
OR
If
one or more real brother(s)/sister(s) of the child is/are studying in this
School, he/she shall be awarded 20 points.
No points will be awarded to the rest of
the children in this regard.
(iii)
School Alumni – 20 Points maximum
A
child will be awarded 20 points if both father and mother are alumni.
In
case either parent is alumnus/alumna, 10 points will be awarded to the child.
In
case neither father, nor mother is an alumnus/alumna, no points will be
awarded.

Gender – 10 Points
All
girl children will be given an extra 10 points each.
(v)
Single Parent – 10 Points
A child who has single parent because of
being divorced/widow/widower/ unmarried, shall be awarded 10 points.
(vi)
Wards of Staff Members – 10 Points
Wards
of all regular staff members of the School will be awarded 10 points each
A
Final List of Children selected for admission will be drawn in order of merit
which will be arrived at after adding all the points secured by each child
according to the terms and conditions set out in paras (i) to (vi) above.
In
case there are more children who score similar total than the seats available,
the selection will be made on the basis of draw of lots in the presence of at
least four parents.

PRE-PRIMARY : 2015-16 -
INTRODUCTION
With
its strategic location near Gulabi Bagh in North Delhi, Lilawati Vidya Mandir,
Shakti Nagar, presents a rare combination of the past and present cultures.
Founded in 1974 by Late Lala Jagan Nath
Ji, a philanthropist, after the name of his mother, the School is a model of
insightful and resolute practicality on the part of the Founder.
The School has a vast campus having lush
green lawns and large playgrounds inside it. The campus is absolutely protected
for complete security and safety of the children.
For
its Pre-Primary classes, the School has large playrooms having the finest
educational material based on scientific methods. The idea mooted by the great
educationist ‘Maria Montessori’ is followed in this Department,
which states that ‘the best way of educating a child is to make him/her
learn by his/her own attitude and work’. The children at Pre-Primary level
are not subjected to any undue pressure of studies.
ADMISSIONS
Admission
to Pre-Primary Class of the School is open to all eligible children without any
discrimination of caste, creed, colour, sex, religion or nationality. For being
eligible to register for admission to Pre-Primary Class for the academic
session 2015-2016 the child must have completed the minimum age of 4 years as
on 31st March, 2015.

Registration Forms
:
(i)
Registration Forms for General Category
children for admission (the criteria for which has been annexed herewith) to
Pre-Primary Class for the academic session 2015-2016 can be purchased from the
School Reception Counter in person only on a
payment
of Rs.25/- in cash only w.e.f. Wednesday, 24th
December, 2014 to Friday, 09th
January, 2015 between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon on all working days.
Separate
Registration Forms meant for children belonging to EWS/DG Category will be
available free of cost.
In
case the number of children who register under EWS/DG Category exceeds 67, the
following criteria will be used to choose 67 children;
(a)
First
preference will be given to children residing within 1 Km from the School.
(b) Second
preference will be given to children residing within the distance between 1 Km
and 3 Kms from the School.
(c) Third
preference will be given to children residing within the distance between 3 Kms
and 6 Kms from the School.
(d)
Fourth and last preference will be given
to children residing farther than 6 Kms from the School.
Method adopted for ascertaining the distance shall
be ‘As the crow flies’ as per google maps.
(d)
The selections will be made by draw of
lots if the number of seats are more than the available number in each of the
distance-wise categories mentioned in paras (a), (b), (c) & (d) above.
(ii)
Please note no other mode of payment
will be accepted for the sale of Registration Forms.
(iii)
Further, no requests for dispatch of
Registration Forms by post or courier will be entertained.
(iv)
Duly filled up Registration Forms shall
be accepted at the School Reception Counter between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon
upto 09th
January, 2015 (Last Date).
